Current skincare favourites

Oohh I do love to indulge in a bit (or actually, alot) of skincare. I thought I’d share a few of my faves with you. Some are old and some are new. I’m always up for trying new skincare products so let me know what your favourites are and what you recommend.

Dermalogica Precleanse

Dermalogica Precleanse

If you’re a double cleanser, Precleanse is the perfect step one. I’ve used it for years and nothing has beaten it. To use, start with dry hands and a dry face to melt away make up with the oily formula, which is a mixture of olive, apricot and kukui nut oils. Then, add a small amount of warm water to your hands and rub into your face, turning it into milky liquid. Continue to cleanse until you’re squeaky clean.

Precleanse is perfect for removing heavy makeup and suncream when you’re on holiday – no scrubbing required.

Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Facewash

Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Facewash

I wanted to try something new after the facewash I was using was completely drying out my skin, leaving it feeling dry and tight. I’m so happy I made the move to Kiehl’s! This facewash is gentle, really creamy and you only need the smallest amount to create a foam. The main ingredients of Calendula and Glycerin cleanse and refresh your skin and don’t dry it out at all. Perfect for us oily but sensitive types.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel-Cream

I’ve written about Ultra Facial Cream before in my January favourites. Now I’ve got my hands on the oil-free version, which I’ve found is perfect to use during the day. I was slightly nervous about trying a gel formula, but it’s hydrating and instantly absorbs into your skin. A huge bonus is that it makes an amazing base for makeup.

Price: £24 for 50ml

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

Now I’m the grand old age of 28 I’m starting to think about wrinkle prevention. I was recently given this cream by a friend and wow, does it feel incredible. The rich formula is packed full of collagen and you can really tell the difference if you use it overnight – it makes my skin feel plump and hydrated. As soon as I found out the price of it I stopped lathering it on every night (!) but will continue to use it a few times a week to reap the benefits.

Price: £80 for 50ml

I’ve recently discovered Neils Yard frankincense moisturiser which is really nice and apparently good for wrinkles (bit late for me!) Xx
